Answers:
Q. Are you just another agency / facilitator, looking to cash in on already exhausted and desperate adopting parents?
A. No. We are a solid, trustworthy and efficient legal firm, based in Guatemala City and known for our flawless reputation.

Q. Yes, I've heard that all before. But can you prove it to me?
A. Most gladly! Please contact us personally, and we'll forward you the reference information for clients on whose behalf we have intervened.

Q. Do you also provide adoption services?
A. No. There are enough competent agencies in the U.S. and Guatemala who specialize in adoption. Hopefully you chose one of them.

Q. Do you work for adoption agencies?
A. No. We work solely on behalf of adoptive parents.

Q. Can you recommend an agency for my planned adoption?
A. No. Our information is based on personal experiences, therefore our recommendation is not wholly objective nor do we maintain records of all available agencies.

Q. Can you at least tell me what to look for?
A. Research is of utmost importance. Do not choose an agency by the photos they post on a website but by the recommendations they are willing to provide.

Q. If I choose your firm, will we ever meet in person?
A. Most certainly! We are proud of our work and appreciate the personal interaction with our clients. Should you be visiting Guatemala to escort your child home or as an interim step in your adoption, we welcome the opportunity to meet with you in our offices.

Q. How often will I be updated on my case?
A. That depends on the issues specific to your case. If there are many problems to resolve, we will contact you via email or phone as often as necessary daily. Once your case is on track and proceeding properly, twice weekly communication is usually adequate to keep you in the loop.

Q. Will you share my case information with my adoption agency?
A. We are bound by confidentiality to our clients first and foremost.

Q. Will my agency get mad at me if I decide to contract your services?
A. This is a complex and serious question. The answer is both yes and no. To further elaborate please click here.

Q. Do your services also include checking on my child, ensuring medical appointments are kept and that medical reports are forwarded to me?
A. Our sole focus is the legal aspects of your adoption. We do not get involved in the coordination of health care for your child.

Q. I'm just curious, but why are you doing this?
A. Our services are based on real needs as witnessed by people who are near to us personally. As well, it is gratifying for us to make an honest living helping to bring families together.
